Chaskele is a game, not a data business. We collect only what is needed to make multiplayer work. We do not sell your data, ever.

What we collect

When you play Chaskele, we may collect:

Display name: the name you choose to show other players
Anonymous user ID: a unique identifier created by Firebase to manage your session
Game activity: match results, round scores, and win/loss records
Device information: device type and operating system version, for bug fixing
Crash and error logs: collected automatically via Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix problems

If you choose to sign in with Google, we also receive your Google display name and email address from Google. Guest players are not required to provide any personal information.

What we do not collect

Your real name, address, or phone number
Payment information (there are no purchases in the current version)
Location data
Contacts or photos from your device
Any data from children under 13 — if we discover a user is under 13, their account is deleted

How we use your data

To run multiplayer matches and sync game state in real time
To display your name and score to other players in the same match
To maintain your game statistics across sessions
To identify and fix technical issues

Who we share data with

We use Firebase (Google) to power authentication, the real-time database, and analytics. Your data is stored on Firebase's servers under Google's privacy infrastructure. We do not share your data with any other third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.

Data retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your data is removed from our systems within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate game statistics may be retained indefinitely.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. See Your Privacy Choices below for how to exercise these rights.

Children

Chaskele is rated 4+ and is designed to be safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Guest play requires no account and no personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app grows. If we make significant changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.

Who we are

Chaskele is developed and operated by Moving Higher Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. References to "we", "us", or "our" mean Moving Higher Ltd.

Using the app

You may use Chaskele for personal, non-commercial entertainment. You agree not to:

Cheat, use bots, or exploit bugs to gain an unfair advantage
Harass, abuse, or threaten other players
Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the app or its code
Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws

Accounts

You can play as a guest without creating an account. If you sign in with Google, you are responsible for maintaining the security of that account. You must be 13 or older to create an account.

Intellectual property

All content in Chaskele — including the game design, artwork, sounds, and code — is owned by Moving Higher Ltd or its licensors. The name "Chaskele" and the game's cultural heritage belong to the Ghanaian tradition it is inspired by; this app is a respectful digital adaptation.

Service availability

We provide Chaskele on a best-effort basis. We may update, modify, or temporarily suspend the app at any time. We are not liable for losses resulting from service interruptions.

In-app purchases

The current version of Chaskele is free with no in-app purchases. If purchases are introduced in a future update, they will be clearly disclosed and governed by Apple App Store or Google Play terms.

Disclaimer

Chaskele is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Moving Higher Ltd is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

Your Privacy Choices

You are in control of your data. Here is what you can do and how to do it.

Play without an account

Choose "Play as Guest" at launch. No email, no account, no data linked to you personally.

Change your display name

Update your display name any time from the Profile screen inside the app.

Delete your account

Email us at support@movinghigher.com and we will delete your account and data within 30 days.

Access your data

You have the right to request a copy of the data we hold about you. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.

Analytics opt-out

Chaskele uses Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is played. This data is anonymised and aggregated. To opt out of analytics on iOS, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and disable tracking for Chaskele.

Residents of California (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of your data, and to opt out of the sale of your data. We do not sell personal data. To exercise your rights, contact us at support@movinghigher.com.

Residents of the European Union / UK (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the UK or EU, your rights include: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support @movinghigher.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Our lawful basis for processing your data is legitimate interest (operating a multiplayer game requires game state sync) and consent (for optional analytics).
